Entering the competition

Is there aN ENTRY fee?

No. There is no entry fee.

how do i submit my entry?

All entries will be submitted online. Submission are now being accepted. Read more about what is required and how to enter.

i am a u.s. citizen living and attending college abroad. am i eligible to enter?

No. To be eligible to enter you must be a currently enrolled college student, must reside within the 50 United States or Washington, D.C. at the time you submit an entry.

are international students eligible to participate?

Yes. Any student may enter provided he or she is enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year college, residing within the 50 United States or Washington, D.C. and is the age of 18+ by the submission deadline.

General ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Do I need to send a copy of my college ID when I upload my entry?

No. You do not need to and should not upload a copy of your college student ID when you submit.

is there a standard file-naming format required for uploading the design?

Please submit files as PDF documents. Make sure your name or identifying marks are not included in your PDF or file name.

Please review the schedule carefully.

August 29, 2018: Online entry period begins.

October 21, 2018, 11:59 p.m. (ET): Entries due.

October 29, 2018: Accepted students contacted.

November 4, 2018: Accepted students submit final files.

December 14, 2018: Exhibit of accepted student work open to public.

February 25, 2019: Accepted students attend required event at Cooper Hewitt in New York City.

March 31, 2019: Exhibition closes.
