Design gives business its competitive edge in our global age. Cooper Hewitt’s Corporate Membership Program provides companies ideal access to the world of design. Our Corporate Members enjoy unique opportunities for museum involvement for its key executives, employees, and guests.

Benefits of Corporate membership

All Levels Receive:

  • 10% discount for employees at SHOP Cooper Hewitt and Tarallucci e Vino Cafe with valid company ID.
  • Invitations to corporate preview events, Cocktails at Cooper Hewitt, and National Design Week programs.
  • Advance knowledge of museum exhibitions, events, and public programs.
  • Acknowledgement as Corporate Member in the museum’s annual donor list, the Smithsonian Institution’s Annual Report, and on the museum’s website.

Corporate Patron ($25,000)

  • Free admission for employees and two guests with valid company ID.
  • Opportunity to host an event in the museum’s major event spaces, including the Great Hall and the Arthur Ross Terrace and Garden, with 10% off administrative fees.
  • Personalized Design Circle Executive Membership cards for five company-designated representatives.
  • Fifteen invitations to each exhibition opening event.
  • Forty guest passes offering free admission.
  • Lunch or museum tour for two company representatives with the museum director and/or senior Curatorial Staff, by request.
  • Up to five priority reservations to public programs.
  • Two private exhibition tours or behind-the-scenes collection event for 25 guests, by appointment.
  • VIP access to select international design and art fairs.
  • The opportunity to host a Design Thinking Workshop for up to 25 employees, customized by our Education Department.

Corporate Contributor ($15,000)

  • Free admission for employees and one guest with valid company ID.
  • The opportunity to host an event in the museum’s smaller event spaces, with rental fees waived and 10% off administrative fees.
  • Personalized Global Design Executive Membership cards for three company-designated representatives.
  • Ten invitations to each exhibition opening event.
  • Twenty guest passes for free admission.
  • Up to two priority reservations to public programs.
  • One curator-led exhibition tour or behind-the-scenes collection event for 25 guests, by appointment.
  • The opportunity to host a Design Thinking Workshop for up to 25 employees, customized by our Education Department.

Corporate Associate ($5,000)

  • The opportunity to host an event in the museum’s Trustees Room, with rental fees waived and 10% off administrative fees.
  • Personalized Global Design Executive Membership cards for two company-designated representatives.
  • Ten guest passes for free admission.
  • Five invitations to each exhibition opening event.
  • Advance knowledge of exhibition events and public programs.

Design thinking workshop ($5,000)

  • The opportunity to host a Design Thinking Workshop for up to 25 employees, customized by Cooper Hewitt’s  Education Department.
  • Workshops can be personalized to address company’s specific interests. Standard workshops include exhibition tours and a hands-on workshop created to engage employees in design’s human-centered process and contextualized critical-thinking.
  • Use of museum meeting space for Design Thinking Workshop (room upgrades available).
