Join Cooper Hewitt for a talk with Design Visionary Award winner Robert Earl Paige—the first program in a new series spotlighting the 2026 National Design Award winners in conversation with Director Maria Nicanor. Paige is an artist, designer, and educator whose work disregards boundaries between fine art, craft, and design. A participant in the Black Arts Movement, Paige champions community engagement in art and culture, and his practice reflects a love of color, a commitment to design principles, and a belief in making art accessible for everyday people. Join recording engineer and record producer Russell Elevado for a special evening listening session in Devon Turnbull’s installation HiFi Pursuit Listening Room Dream No. 3 at Cooper Hewitt. For the occasion, Elevado will operate the sound system with a selection of his music. Russell Elevado is a four-time Grammy Award-winning engineer and producer. He is committed to an analog approach to his work, often using vintage recording equipment and analog tape. Elevado is widely recognized for his work with D’Angelo, Questlove, Erykah Badu, Alicia Keys, Jon Batiste, and many other notable musicians.
