About the artists

Robi D Light

With boundless energy and an infectious smile, Brooklyn-based DJ Robi D Light is a household name within New York City’s LGBTQ nightlife community. Her eclectic sets and professionalism have led to performances for AOL, The Rockefeller Foundation, Harlem School of the Arts, Stonewall Community Foundation, Manhattan’s LGBTQ Center, and St. Malachy’s Chapel. Robi has shared the stage with R&B duo Nina Sky and recently opened for the legendary Lady Bunny. Robi frequently performs at Ace Hotel and holds a residency at Topshop in New York’s Soho neighborhood. In 2016, Robi won Go Magazine Reader’s Choice Award for best R&B DJ.

Flex Dance Program

Founded in 2014, the Flex Dance Program provides dance instruction and mentoring services for youth in juvenile detention. Flex harnesses the body as medium for improvisational storytelling, mastering intricate movements to produce visual narratives from lived experiences and active imagination. Flex seeks to bring transformative growth in students through physical exercise, self expression, and creative collaboration.
