An Evening with Russell Elevado in the Listening Room

Join recording engineer and record producer Russell Elevado for a special evening listening session in Devon Turnbull’s installation HiFi Pursuit Listening Room Dream No. 3 at Cooper Hewitt. Operator

Russell Elevado is a four-time Grammy Award-winning engineer and producer. He is committed to an analog approach to his work, often using vintage recording equipment and analog tape. Elevado is widely recognized for his work with D’Angelo, Questlove, Erykah Badu, Alicia Keys, Jon Batiste, and many other notable musicians. He also won a Latin Grammy in 2024 for his work on Brazilian artist Xenia França’s album Em Nome da Estrela.

AccessibiliTy & What to Expect

  • Format: Attendees will be both seated and standing in the listening room to experience music and comments from the operator. Limited seating is available.
  • About the space: This program will take place in Cooper Hewitt’s Carnegie Library. It is fully wheelchair accessible. The listening room experience includes T-Coil compatibility. There is an accessible restroom on the ground floor. Read more about accessibility at Cooper Hewitt.
