Don’t miss our programs for the whole family!

A child is creating a 2-dimensional pattern design using a range of shapes and colors.
Wed. November 10, 2021
4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET
From the clothes we wear to the furniture in our spaces, patterns are all around us! In this hands-on intergenerational workshop, discover how designers navigate from 2-dimensional ideas to 3-dimensional products. This workshop is inspired by the work of textile designer, Suzie Zuzek (1920-2011), whose patterns were used by the Lilly Pulitzer brand from 1962 to 1985. This intergenerational program is designed for children ages 5-12, but all are welcome to join.  Participate as a family or kids can join on their own to learn more about the basic principles and elements of design. This is a beginner workshop facilitated by a museum educator. No prior experience in design is required to participate.  .
