Come enjoy a beautiful, outdoor evening inspired by Nature—Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial, and join us in honoring Cooper Hewitt patrons Barry Friedman and Susan Grant Lewin for the generous contributions they have made to Cooper Hewitt’s permanent collection of historic and contemporary design objects. The evening features a strolling supper, signature cocktails, and special performances in Cooper Hewitt’s iconic Arthur Ross Terrace and Garden.

about the EXHIBITION
Nature—Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial, on view May 10, 2019 through January 20, 2020, tracks the efforts of designers working with scientists, technologists, artists, advocates, and nature itself. Co-organized with Cube design museum in the Netherlands and presented simultaneously on both sides of the Atlantic, the sixty-two projects work towards a more harmonious future with nature, from innovative solutions to through-provoking conceptual statements. As the world mobilizes to counter the impact of anthropogenic climate change, the exhibition offers an optimistic vision for a renewed relationship with the natural world.
Nature—Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial is made possible by support from The Ainslie Foundation. Additional support is provided by Amita and Purnendu Chatterjee, the August Heckscher Exhibition Fund, the Esme Usdan Exhibition Endowment Fund, and the Creative Industries Fund NL.
Funding is also provided by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in New York as part of the Dutch Culture USA program, and by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
