Before new exhibitions open on December 12, join free drop-in design activities in the first-floor spaces at Cooper Hewitt. Enter through the Arthur Ross Terrace and Garden, 90th Street between Fifth and Madison Avenues.

Experience the Andrew Carnegie Mansion, home to Cooper Hewitt, through drawing! Participants will explore the Gilded Age architecture of the Carnegie Mansion’s first floor. Draw on your own or get inspired by prompts, from considering patterns to diving deep into architectural ornaments.


ACCESSIBILITY AND WHAT TO EXPECT 

  • Format: Drawing prompts and accessible hands-on workshop instructions will be available to participants. All materials will be provided. No drawing or design experience is required. You can drop in at any time and stay as long as you like. 
  • About this space: This program will take place in person in the first floor galleries at Cooper Hewitt (Entry through garden gates on 90th Street, between Fifth and Madison Avenues). The garden is fully wheelchair accessible. Read more about accessibility at Cooper Hewitt.
