Participants will work with Jeanie Kay, product designer at The New York Times, to learn how designers identify reader problems to create news products. Kay will share the basics of Figma software – a collaborative interface design tool – to design a newsletter concept that meets the needs of a specific audience.

A laptop is required. If you do not have a laptop, we will provide one for you.

This is an exposure-level workshop suitable for teens and college students; no prior experience in design is needed to participate.
