How might we develop a mindset to solve problems by thinking critically and creatively? Designers drive innovation in products, technology, systems, and more by adapting challenges into opportunities.

Join Cooper Hewitt educators for a hands-on workshop that explores design processes and stories in Cooper Hewitt’s collection of historic and contemporary design. Discuss best practices for approaching problem-solving by taking risks and learning from failure.

Participants will have the opportunity to work collaboratively, enhance their design literacy skills, and build a network with other participants who are interested in exploring innovative practices for their classrooms and organizations.

Build your design toolkit! Design Snacks is a series of hands-on workshops exploring techniques and strategies for participants to incorporate into their own practices, classrooms, or organizations. Workshops are held every other Wednesday beginning July 22, 2020. Participants are not required to participate in all workshops.

No prior experience in design required. Recommended for ages 16+.

This free program will feature live instruction hosted through Zoom. A link will be emailed to you upon registration.
