Reading with New York Therapy Animals
Join Cooper Hewitt for a fun and sensory-friendly reading hour with certified therapy dogs from New York Therapy Animals. Recommended for reading levels consistent with ages 5–12, the event will give visitors the chance to read aloud to their new furry friends, which in return gives them greater confidence in their reading abilities.
This activity is recommended for those ages 5–12 and their adult guardian/care partners.
Email us at CHaccess@si.edu to get more information about signing up for a time slot to read with a certified therapy dog.
* During inclement weather activities will move indoors.
