Join us for a joint program with the American-Scottish Foundation on the remarkable biography of philanthropist and industrialist Andrew Carnegie. Historian, architect, and president of the American Friends of the Georgian Group John Kinnear will deliver a fascinating account of the life of Carnegie, his rise, and his legacy to New York, from his 67 Carnegie libraries to his Fifth Avenue mansion, now the magnificently restored and refurbished home of Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.
The evening will also include a presentation by Malcolm Roughead, OBE, Executive Director of VisitScotland followed by a reception in the mansion’s Great Hall.
