Architecture, design and construction all play a role in the final design of every light fixture in our environment today. In this workshop, participants will work with guest designer, Oscar Lopez, to design a prototype of a light fixture.
This free 1-session workshop will take place on Wednesday, March 21 from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Programs are open to all New York City high school students.
DesignPrep is a series of free teen workshops that focus on all forms of design from fashion and architecture to product and graphic design.
DesignPrep is made possible by the generous support of the Altman Foundation, The Pinkerton Foundation, Carnegie Corporation of New York, The Richard and Jean Coyne Family Foundation, and the Milton and Sally Avery Arts Foundation. This program is also supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
