ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Program Length: 20+ minutes. No set time, enjoy as much time as you need.
Interactivity Level: High
Intended Audience: Youth ages 5-12 with their adult guardian/family. No previous design knowledge is required. Material will be presented at roughly a K-6th grade level.
How can we visualize fun facts about our daily life? You will take part in polls about your everyday life and imagine creative ways to visualize the data we collect through design. Contribute to a community data wall using colorful, textured, and squishy materials. Leave with your own data design telling your story.
Session 1: 10:00 a.m. to noonSession 2: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This activity is inspired by the Deconstructing Power: W. E. B. Du Bois at the 1900 World’s Fair exhibition, currently on view.
Family Programs are designed for youth and their adult guardian/caregivers. Free with museum admission; admission is free for children under 18 with an adult. No registration required, first come, first served. Adults must stay with their youth during the activity and are encouraged to participate. Activity located in the Lecture Room, Ground Floor.
