Step into the world of Sesame Street and get an inside look into the work of the creative teams who create iconic characters. This offsite program is perfect for high school students interested in storytelling, branding, and character design. 

Hear from VP of Brand Creative Victor Newman as he shares his creative journey and design insights, and discover how Sesame Workshop combines storytelling, joy, and creativity to build a global brand that inspires children in over 190 countries. 

This program will take place at the Sesame Workshop offices in Manhattan. Students will meet and be dismissed from this location. Teen Drop-In programs are developed for teens only; no adults are permitted.


Teen Drop-In is a series of free, drop-in workshops for high school students exploring techniques, strategies, and careers in design. No prior experience required—just bring yourself and a creative mindset.

  • Format: This is an in-person program held offsite at Sesame Workshop. No previous design experience is required. All materials are included.   
  • About the space: This program will take place at the Sesame Workshop offices. The space is wheelchair accessible. Registrants’ names will be shared with security in order to grant them access to the space.
