ASL Tour

The ASL Tour and subsequent program are free for visitors who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing and their companions.

Join us for a two-part program engaging with design from multiple perspectives.

Begin your visit with a Deaf-community exclusive tour led by a Deaf educator. Conducted entirely in American Sign Language, this tour offers a rich and immersive exploration of a featured exhibition, encouraging meaningful conversation around its themes and objects.

After the tour, participants are invited to attend a public program with ASL interpretation, where we’ll dive deeper into the exhibition’s ideas. This portion may include designer talks, panel discussions, or hands-on workshops.

To sign up for the ASL tour mailing list, email CHAccess@si.edu or call 212-849-8384.

Accessibility

ASL Interpreters will be onsite for the entire two-part program. The public program will also include CART.
