Featured Image: Rural Studio, Rural Studio Farm, a year-round functioning produce farm, located on the Rural Studio campus in Newbern, Alabama. It produces over 6,000 pounds of food per year and feeds the Rural Studio community multiple nutritious meals each week. Thus far, 10 student design projects developed the Farm into a sustainable, small-scale farming model with a passive solar greenhouse, rows of garden beds, and irrigation and water reclamation systems (Newbern, Alabama, 2009-ongoing).
