In the modern day, industrialization is a key part of a society’s advancement. Yet, the creation of roads and buildings comes with the destruction of natural habitats and increased air pollution. Simplifying the process of planting on roofs and sides of buildings would encourage alternative green spaces in all urban areas. The vibrant naturally-occurring mosses and vines inspired us to design a product that is able to easily incorporate greenery anywhere, including vertical spaces, in a similar way. The Green Sheet simplifies rooftop and vertical gardening by offering a sleek, roll-out product that can be either laid flat or hung up. Made of breathable recycled plastics and fabrics with a layer of soil in between, they can be ordered at a desired length, with already embedded seeds.
