The military fights to protect people, but to protect people, we also need to protect nature. Most people now understand that the earth is in trouble and want to help, but getting involved can be challenging. We need to (re)design a branch of the military to do exactly that with Earth Emissaries (E.E.) The E.E. will increase empathy and motivation to protect nature. The E.E. is an alternative to military service welcoming everyone over fourteen. The minimum age for the main divisions is nineteen, and younger students can participate in summer camps as a form of community service. Like the military, the E.E. rewards hard work with money for school. The E.E. is also much more accessible to those with disabilities or mental health conditions than the military.
