The drawing on the left is roughly the shape of a rectangle. Partially encircled by broad, loose black brushstrokes, the drawing’s interior contains a more delicate combination of different textures. The main focus is a semi-circle containing circles of varying sizes and thin black lines connecting and creating a web-like structure over a softer gray background that only allows some of the off-white paper through. The drawing on the right-hand side is similar but lacks the bold border of the first. Sinewy lines shoot up from the bottom of the paper and converge in a point at the top of the drawing, giving the impression of a skeletal tower or tent. Both drawings merge and abstract textures in gray scale, creating a grim yet beautifully energetic piece.
