This Request for Quote (RFQ) is issued by Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum (CHSDM), for technical, professional, non-personal content and instructional services for 20 weeks in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW).

DESCRIPTION OF REQUIRED SERVICES
Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum (CHSDM) has a requirement for one contractor for a Youth program initiatives leadership. The award will be for 20 weeks; the firm-fixed price range for services is $18,000-$20,000.
STATEMENT OF WORK
CH’s national High School Design Competition
o Develop the theme and necessary materials to launch CH’s national High School
o Design Competition. Materials include theme description, K-12 educator support materials, competition timeline, and updated requirements and FAQ.
o Outreach to promote the High School Design Competition
o Oversee the competition’s digital submission platform, ensure data is up to date.
o Respond to inquiries and respond by updated the competition websites FAQ section.
o Track and adhere to budget.
o Other related duties as needed.
Design Field Trips
o Oversee day to day functions of CH’s Design Field Trips (DFT) late October 2023- early February 2024.
o Regularly meet with the Visitor Experience scheduling team to ensure educators and school schedules are on track.
o Communicate regularly with contractual educators to ensure the developed curriculum is meeting goals and modify as needed based on feedback.
o Ensure DFT materials are replenish as necessary.
o Work with the Dir of LAE to ensure on-time payment of contractual educators and budget tracking.
o Other duties as needed.
Family Programs
o Assist in developing bi-monthly Family Program themes.
o Write program description and post on the CH website.
o Ensure the contract educator staffing for those programs.
o Order supplies for programs.
o Manage day to day budget and processing of contractual educator invoices.
o Other duties as needed.
o Youth Innovation in Rural America program
o Work with the Dir. of LAE to finalize professional development training materials.
o Assist with ordering supplies for the four state trainings.
o Other duties as needed.
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
The period of performance will be mid-September 2023-mid February 2024.
PLACE OF PERFORMANCE
Two days on-site at Cooper Hewitt and one-virtual day per week.
SCHEDULE OF WORK
Work hours shall be up to 20 hours a week between the days and times of Mondays through Fridays, 9:00am to 5:30pm. Work hours vary based on deliverables and timeline but should not exceed and average of 20 hours a week. Work will not be conducted on Federal Holidays or days when SI offices are closed due to weather or other emergency closures. No overtime is needed to complete this work.
HOURLY RATE:
$30.00 to $50.00

4 year degree
