A Japonesque ornately carved armchair with a a round leather back piece resembling a gong.
Featured Image: No. 60. The “Kwagenkei” Arm-chair. Carved in mulberry wood and upholstered with “Kinkara Kawa” leather. The ornamentation was originally used for a stone gong musical instrument in the temple of Horyuji.
