The PSA featured Dianne Pilgrim, seen here during the June filming in the Hirshhorn Sculpture Garden. In a 1996 article in the New York Times, Diane Pilgrim was quoted, "I feel a moral responsibility to make people aware of accessibility and universal design, particularly because of our aging population. But when you talk about universal design, you go beyond the disabled. Curb cuts are a wonderful boon to a lot of people with strollers and grocery carts."
