The Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, Eyebeam Art + Technology Center and Smart Design have teamed up to take Jell-O on a whirlwind tour through New York City with a Jell-O Mold Workshop for high school students interested in food, design, and technology! NYC high school youth teamed up with leading product designers and industrial designers for a series of workshops in preparation for the 2011 Jell-O Mold Competition. Student teams will develop and create molds using traditional techniques and 3-D printing technology to enter into the third annual Jell-O Mold Competition scheduled to place on June 25, 2011.

 

Check out the amazing design entries from last year. Monica Bhatia, Chelsea Briganti, Leigh Ann Tucker, Ingrid Zweifel of The Way We See the World designed Edible Cups. A product & concept design studio based in New York City these designers are innovators, passionate about creating happiness through designs.Runner up, "Healthcare Re-Form" by Peter Pracilio, with its clean lines and confectionary color palette, as well as its 'big pharma' bend.
