Driven by a deep love of underground music, New York's Sleepy & Boo have made a profound impact on dancefloors throughout the Big Apple. Through their DJ sets and their own events, the duo have brought a fresh approach to the NYC club scene, making it their mission to expose some of the world's best new music and artists to New York. Their long-running party at the Sullivan Room, Basic NYC, has played host to an international array of pioneering DJs from throughout the dance music spectrum. Never limited to one specific style of music, their party instead features the best of everything fresh and underground, with an up-for-it crowd and animated vibe encouraging the DJs to do their best.
Sleepy & Boo's parties are a direct extension of their own DJing. They love house music in all of its many shapes, styles, and forms, and their sets cover a gamut of sounds and moods; everything from pulsating minimal grooves to funk-inflected jacking house is in their DJ bag. Their late night sets at Sullivan Room have become the stuff of legend, as they close out their own parties with dancefloor-focused grooves both energetic and abstract that keep the crowds moving well into the morning hours. With a monthly residency at New York's best superclub Pacha, they have exposed a wider audience to their unique DJ style, backing up some of the world's top talent and earning rave reviews in their own right. Outside of New York, Sleepy & Boo's annual daytime WMC showcases have become some of the conference's most talked-about events, a chance for industry heads and partiers alike to gather in an atmospheric environment to celebrate everything that's good about dance music.
