As owner of the label Lovebreak Music and as a DJ/Producer, Nicole Otero is marking her sound in the dance music industry. It has been over six years since she began her DJ career playing all over the NYC area and overseas. A native New Yorker with Ecuadorian and Bolivian roots, Nicole has been seriously involved with music since she was young. Studying classical piano since the age of 6, and being influenced by dance music in the 80's and 90's, it was only a matter of time before she auditioned for The Music & Art & Performing Arts H.S. (also known as FAME) where she was accepted for voice and piano. Later Nicole decided to enroll in the Music Technology Program at NYU, where she studied sound engineering and electronic music. While studying sound production at NYU, Nicole began a radio show at WNYU called "The Move." Within a couple of years of DJing, Nicole was playing major NYC clubs and in Europe. During this time Nicole was working along side Jon Cutler at Distant Music were she was Label Manager for two years. With the experience she got from working at Distant, Nicole was inspired to start her own label where she could debut her music as a producer and song writer. That day finally arrived with her first release on Lovebreak called "Sunshine Song." Nicole has a string of her own original releases coming out in 2007 so keep an eye out for this budding producer.
