More than seventy-five titles highlighting the Museum’s collections, published between 1897 and 1987, are available online. Of these, more than 25 titles highlighting the Museum’s collections, published between 1978 and 1987, have been digitized and are freely available.
Prior to becoming a Smithsonian museum, Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum was The Cooper Union Museum for the Arts of Decoration. Over 50 titles from this period, spanning from The Cooper Union Museum’s inception in 1896 up through 1968, are available. These publications include past museum exhibitions, the annual Chronicles (1935-45, 1948-58), recent acquisitions, and more.
