Members' Curator Tour | Six Things: Sagmeister & Walsh at the Jewish Museum

Date:
Thursday, April 25, 2013 - 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Venue:
The Jewish Museum

Open to Design Watch Members and above.

Join the Jewish Museum’s Curatorial Assistant, Rebecca Shaykin, for an exhibition tour of Six Things: Sagmeister & Walsh. The designers Stefan Sagmeister, winner of Cooper-Hewitt’s National Design Award in 2005 for Communication Design, and Jessica Walsh are known for their experimental typography and striking visual imagery. Six Things marks the first exhibition of their newly founded design firm Sagmeister & Walsh. For the last ten years, Sagmeister has researched the nature of happiness, asking, “Is it possible to train my mind in the same way I can train my body?” In five short films and a sculpture, the studio investigates six things, culled from Sagmeister's diary, that he believes have increased his personal happiness.

RSVP online or to the Membership Office at 212.849.8349 or chmembership@si.edu.
