The design field is exploding with in-demand, twenty-first century jobs in product design, interaction design, architecture, fashion, and more. DC public High School students can discover their future career path at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum’s DC High School Design Summit, where teens explore design careers with professionals, including the 2015 National Design Award winners!

The Summit will provide 300 Washington, DC public high school students with the unparalleled opportunity to participate in a hands-on design experience with some of the nation’s best designers celebrated through the National Design Awards. Following the Teen Design Fair portion of the program, students will be able to speak to professional designers who will answer questions about working as a designer, design career paths, the complexities of the design process, and what designers love about their jobs.
