Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum offers a range of opportunities for internships. At the present time there are two summertime opportunities to intern.
Peter A. Krueger Summer Internships
These internships, which honor the memory of Peter A. Krueger, who was an intern at Cooper-Hewitt, provide a stipend of $2,500. The internship program runs for 10 weeks over the summer beginning the third Monday of June. Housing is not provided. Approximately 5-10 Krueger Internships are available each summer. Application info for next year's cycle will be available here in January 2014.
Studio in a School's ARTS Intern program
Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum is also a participating museum in Studio in a School's ARTS Intern program. The ARTS Intern program places college undergraduates from diverse cultural backgrounds in paid summer internships at New York City museums. Eligible applicants must show a financial need and must either be New York City residents, or be enrolled in a college or university within the five boroughs of New York City.
