Bill's Design Talks

The Bill's DESIGN Talks series, moderated by Cooper-Hewitt's Director, Bill Moggridge, began in spring 2010 and has featured Chad Hurley of YouTube, Michael Bierut of Pentagram, Michael Graves, and Acumen Fund Founder and CEO Jacqueline Novogratz, among others.

Bill's Design Talks takes place at The Greene Space, 44 Charlton St New York, 10012.

How much?

Students and Cooper-Hewitt Members get in free, other adults are $17. Seats are limited and need to be booked online.

Robert Wong talks about his work and life as the leader of Google CreativeLab in New York. Chief Creative Officer of the CreativeLab, is a mixed-up person. Originally from Hong Kong, he lived in the Netherlands, learned to be an accountant in Canada, and suddenly converted to graphic design. From that moment forward, his influences on design and media have been profound!

Helen Walters is a writer, editor, and researcher whose writing has garnered her a loyal following on- and offline. She writes about creativity and design for numerous publications and is a contributing editor at Creative Review magazine. Her blog, Thought You Should See This, gathers "stories, moments, and ideas of interest from within the world of innovation and design." At this event Helen talks about her work and the often thorny issue of design thinking vs. design practice.
