Interface, Inc.
Interface, Inc. corporate logo
When Ray Anderson founded Interface, Inc. in LaGrange, Georgia, more than thirty years ago, he introduced modular office floor covering to the commercial market not only for its functionality, but also for the aesthetic and acoustical benefits, color, warmth, and comfort. In 2003, Interface, Inc. helped change the marketplace again with the advent of InterfaceFLOR, a company that brings modular carpet to a mass-consumer audience. Today, Interface, Inc. is recognized not only for its product design, but also for its commitment to sustainability. In an effort to minimize its impact on natural resources, Interface, Inc. has reduced the amount of material it uses and the waste it creates. Interface, Inc. is also working to shift taxation away from economic and social benefits - such as labor, income, and investment - to negative social forces such as pollution, waste, and the loss of primary resources.
