Baron's Bazaar, created with editor Elizabeth Tilberis, heralded a "return to elegance." In their opening issue, Baron and Tilberis introduced spectacular feature spreads into the magazine's dense crush of advertising pages, confronting the reader with astonishing feats of typographic formalism and stark photographic imagery. The new Bazaar was at once replete with invention and informed by its own history.
