The press was soon doing work for other groups attracted to Licher's seductively tactile use of hand-set wood and metal type, printed on industrial materials. Licher's visual identity for Savage Republic includes not only a logo but stamps, banknotes, and flags, the visual trappings of a mythic nation in which raw primitivism converges with civilized democracy.
