Recently in Chicago for NeoCon and the the unveiling of the Architecture & Design Galleries at the Art Institute of Chicago. Enjoyed showroom after showroom, despite the dizzying effect of the Merchandise Mart! Masamichi Udagawa and Sigi Moeslinger’s innovative new Antenna Workspace was the center of attention at Knoll. Celebratory dinner in the stunning new Renzo Piano wing, hosted by Maharam, united Cindy Allen, Yves Béhar, Bruce Mau, Hanns-Peter Cohn, Gregg Buchbinder, Susan Szenasy and many other design greats for a terrific fete. Gorgeous installation of Maharam textiles representative of several decades from Gio Ponti to Polly Apfelbaum lines one wall, while pieces by Bourollec brothers, Konstantin Grcic, Patrick Jouin and Marcel Wanders grace the adjacent space. Bravo to Joseph Rosa, John H. Bryan Curatorial Chair, Zoë Ryan, Neville Bryan Curator of Design, and Alison Fisher, Harold and Margot Schiff Assistant Curator of Architecture!

Angled photograph of showroom displaying a three-tiered assemblage of modern, contemporary, and non-traditional styles of seating. Each white tier displays two to five unique, experimental designs of seating in solid red, white, green, pink, grey and black colors. Chairs are in various playful shapes and forms.
